Build with purpose. Make the evidence visible. Keep learning.

My path connects studies in biomedical and systems engineering with the development of technology ventures in Bolivia. At DOCIA, my work focuses on entrepreneurial leadership, product direction and collaboration with a multidisciplinary digital health team. Through AgroEscudo, I explore how sensors and connectivity can support agricultural storage decisions. A MARCA MERCOSUR exchange at UNESP in Brazil broadened my academic experience. I am also a coauthor of a paper in the INCITEL 2025 proceedings and have been involved in student leadership. I value collaboration, learning through testing and distinguishing what a prototype proposes from what evidence supports. My goal is to bring research, engineering and entrepreneurship into practical conversations about the problems people and organizations encounter in their everyday working environments.

I am Brayan Javier Mejía Saavedra, a technology entrepreneur based in Cochabamba, Bolivia. I have completed Biomedical Engineering studies at Universidad del Valle and continue studying Systems Engineering at Universidad Mayor de San Simón. My CV records 2022 as the start of both paths. This presentation distinguishes program completion from the conferral of a professional degree.

At DOCIA, my role centers on entrepreneurial direction, product vision and coordination with a multidisciplinary team. The venture received recognition through ElevateU 2025 and Incuba Unión Tecnológico. These are team and entrepreneurship milestones, rather than certifications of clinical effectiveness. Software engineering, artificial intelligence and medical relationships remain the responsibilities of the team members.

AgroEscudo connects my interest in embedded systems with the challenges of agricultural storage. The initiative brings together sensors, connectivity and digital tools to observe conditions and support decisions. Validation requires documented methods, calibration, context and results. An estimate reported to the press cannot replace that evidence.

In 2024, I took part in a MARCA MERCOSUR exchange at UNESP in Brazil. My academic experience also includes coauthoring a paper about student stress and anxiety in the INCITEL 2025 proceedings. Leadership in engineering communities is another part of this path.

I want to keep learning, investigate relevant questions and build products with people whose strengths complement mine. I am interested in technology that can be explained, tested and improved through documented results, while keeping a clear distinction between an ambitious idea, a prototype and an application supported by evidence in its operating context.
